Volunteers

HerUpland is a nonprofit organization with a board of directors and over 50 volunteers throughout the US; including the Team, Regional CoordinatHers, Dog TrainHers, and Field MentHers.

Currently, HerUpland has no paid staff, so we rely heavily on the hard work of our volunteers to plan and facilitate our virtual and IRL programs.

HerUpland operates nationally, which means we welcome volunteers from all over the country. We have developed an organizational structure to support the diverse needs of each of our 6 regions. Our Regional CoordinatHers oversee and manage volunteers and events in their specific region.

HerUpland volunteers are critical to the success of HerUpland, and they gain valuable skills while volunteering. With the help of the team, volunteers are trained in event management, event promotion, fundraising, communication, team management, equity and justice work, and other valuable professional skills. HerUpland is committed to giving back to our volunteers in the form of mentorship, leadership and professional development, as well as being a part of our inclusive community.
